Strong Roots Strong Future: Indigenous Youth Workshop

Strong Roots Strong Future is XUSI's interactive workshop for Indigenous youth. It is led by the two brothers who founded XUSI, and it uses our lived experience and business journey to make identity, money, health and opportunity feel real.

Who it is for

The workshop is built for First Nations and Indigenous communities, schools, youth organizations and funding programs that want programming youth will actually take part in. It works for ages 10 and older, and it works best with groups of roughly 15 to 30 youth.

Why it works

We keep passive speaking short. Youth move through team challenges, competitions, discussions and practical activities. We grew up in a small reserve community in northern Saskatchewan without growing up around entrepreneurship, and we tell that story honestly so youth can see themselves in it.

What the workshop covers

  • Identity and culture
  • Financial literacy and budgeting
  • Moving away from home
  • Fitness
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Career readiness
  • Goal setting
  • Screen printing
