The Bear tee is built around maskawisiwin, a Cree word for firmness and strength that does not need to be loud.
The design
A roaring grizzly fills the back, set under an arched XUSI CLOTHING EST. 2020 badge with a column of fine print on the left and Cree syllabics beneath the bear. The front keeps a white XUSI wordmark across the chest with a small bear mark.
How to wear it
Black-on-white contrast makes this the easiest piece in the lineup to style: grey sweats for the gym, cargo pants on the weekend. The heavyweight cotton holds its shape wash after wash. Layer the Rose Hoodie over it when the temperature drops.
Strength, drawn plainly
maskawisiwin means firmness, hardness, strength, and the roaring grizzly is that word made visible. Strength runs through a lot of XUSI's designs because it runs through the story: the brand started with two brothers from a northern Saskatchewan reserve who built confidence through training.
